WELCOME TO THE 2017 ELECTIONS ONTARIO RECRUITMENT CAMPAIGN!

Elections Ontario, a non-partisan agency of the Legislative Assembly, is conducting a province-wide recruitment for Returning Officers and Election Clerks positions in preparation for the next General Election to be held in 2018. 

These two positions are critical to the delivery of successful electoral and referenda events in the province of Ontario.

Elections Ontario protects the integrity of the electoral process by ensuring that provincial elections are independent, impartial, efficient, secure, transparent, and accountable. This is achieved through a decentralized system of appointed Returning Officers and hired Election Clerks in each electoral district who are responsible for ensuring that the electoral district they manage is ready to deliver an election at any time. Under the direction of the Returning Officer, Election Clerks are responsible to support the execution and delivery of electoral and referenda events.

 

RETURNING OFFICERS

We are seeking highly motivated individuals with the following skills:

  • strong leadership;
  • people and project management;
  • financial management; and
  • keen knowledge of Ontario’s demographic and economic landscape.

ELECTION CLERKS

We are seeking results-oriented individuals with the following skills:

  • highly developed administrative management;
  • operational planning and coordination;
  • experience implementing a variety of corporate services (HR, Finance, IT, Facilities, Recruitment, etc.); and
  • strong communication and collaboration.
